analyst Posted May 16, 2005 Share Posted May 16, 2005 The Caps played well against a team that was playing its third game in 72 hours. Charleston only had two scoring chances. Mike Franks played well because he aggressively grabbed all of Charleston attempted crosses. 3 of Jordan's 4 goals came off crosses/passes, and the other was on a breakaway after outrunning an injured Charleston defender. Jordan had 4 scoring chances and delivered on each one. Martin Nash had his best game of the year. Corazzin's lack of speed was very apparent today. He was good in the air and he helped the defence quite a bit. Xausa made his first appearance of the year at the 45 minute mark, and Valente, who as team captain last year, did not start today.
