Rood
Does somebody know the breakdown of the current and former leagues, from today to when the CSA&USSF were founded? Also note what Canadian city had a team in the League. And if Canada did not have a team in the League, please note the players from Canada that played in it. I often hear Leagues and different team names thrown around on this board that I never knew about. Thanks, Rood Currently(Outdoor): USL 1st div.(2005-today) - Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps, Toronto Lynx CPSL and PCSL(????-today) - semi-pro, don't have to list the teams A-League(1997-2004) - Impact, Whitecaps, Lynx, Edmonton Aviators, Calgary Mustangs ???????? - Toronto Rockets ???????? - Toronto Italia, Toronto Croatia, ?, ?, etc. ???????? - ? etc. etc. Currently(Indoor): MISL - no Canadian teams right? ???? - Thunderhawks ???? - Shooting Stars ....? etc. etc.
dbailey62
This is probably the best site. I'm not sure how up-to-date it is but there is a huge amount of information here at the American Soccer History Archives. http://www.sover.net/~spectrum/index.html quote:Originally posted by Rood Does somebody know the breakdown of the current and former leagues, from today to when the CSA&USSF were founded? Ya, that was also the CPSL. On the page I linked, it is listed as CPSL I while the current league is CPSL II. BTW, that is a reason I was not a supporter of the name chosen by the CPSL II when it started up. Fortunately, I suppose, very few of us remember the original CPSL. db
