argh1
As is my usual practice I tape one EPL and one Ligue 1 game to watch later in the week. But I see DC United and Chivas are on ABC on Saturday. Do I want Lyon/Lens or a look at Chivas.........would some one flip a coin for me? [:I]
Kurosawa1555362267
Same dilema for me... I decided on the french match since I've been following the league since the beginning of the season.
Daniel
I figure go with the MLS one because there's always a lot of French ones in a season, as opposed to the 3 MLS games on TV.

Breakwood
Go for Lyon - Lens, why? Because Lyon is amazing.

JayWay
Neither. Watch Marseilles-PSG. Edit: Or maybe that was the game you were considering in the first place. Either way, go with the grudge match.
argh1
Curiosty wins out. Freddie and CD Chivas USA . Call it novelty or a look at something different...I dunno or all the MLS chatter on this board. But i just gotta have a peek at Club Deportivo CHIVAS USA. Please gawd of weather, the last time I tried to tape an MLS game was the Championship in November and ya dumped us with an awfull amount of snow and the power was off for for hours & hours. I hope I'm just meant not see MLS
JayWay
So much for that. *Both* games have been preempted Surely the Pope, if he were alive, would want us to move on and watch soccer???
aussoccerfan
Will the MLS game still be broadcasted ?
DJT
quote:Originally posted by JayWay So much for that. *Both* games have been preempted My VCR was set for Milan vs. Brescia, but that match wasn't even played. All of this weekend's Serie A matches have been postponed. EDIT: In fact, all sporting events in Italy this weekend have been postponed (due to the Pope's death, of course). CanadianSoccerFan
Got the chance to watch the Chivas game on ESPN today. I'm sure that's the first time an MLS team has been pelted with toilet paper rolls and other crap while celebrating a goal.
Cooks
You can watch most of the other MLS games on your computer today. I'm watching Real Salt Lake and the MetroStars play right now. The weather in New York is horrible, but the feed is excellent. Four games can be watched today. Just go to http://www.mlsnet.com and click on "video" for the match. SABuffalo786
Makes sense. Latino crowds are very walk-up based and I bet the Pope's situation kept a lot of them home.
amacpher
quote:Originally posted by JayWay Neither. Watch Marseilles-PSG. Agreed. If you're only gonna watch one french game a week, this was the one to watch. That's a no-brainer. Did anyone else notice that CNN totally dropped the ball on the Pope-coverage? They missed the announcement that the Pope had died. I mean, this is *ALL* that this channel does: It waits months for a breaking-news story like this. Something big finally happened and they missed it. [)] LOL
