(Mineola-WABC, March 30, 2005) — Nassau County Police are looking for a man who robbed ten banks in the last year. Police say the robber would hand a threatening note to a teller, and then used his own zippered nylon or white cloth bag to carry out the money.

He showed a gun in his waistband in two robberies on February Second at Washington Mutual Bank in New Hyde Park and Independence Community Bank in Manhasset.

Police say they have various descriptions of the suspect as being either Indian, Guyanese, Middle Eastern or Hispanic. They say he is between 25 and 30 years old, and about six feet tall.

Police add that he has worn a red Canadian Soccer jacket with white stripes on the sleeve. He also has worn black and blue jackets and various baseball caps.

Police say the first robbery was on March 31st, 2004 at Green Point Bank in New Hyde Park. The last robbery was at the Citibank in Syosset.
