from the Non-League Paper:

Much-travelled striker Kevin Francis has joined Travel Factory Midland Alliance side Studley and said he will end his English career there.

The 37-year-old former Derby County, Oxford United, Hull City, Stockport County, Hednesford Town and Worcester City player is to emigrate to Canada at the end of the year.

Maybe he'll join a PCSL/CPSL club? ;)

The Whitecaps in the past showed a tendency to sign aged European players well past their 'Best by:' date. Don't yet know what the Lilley attitude will be though. Wonder how this guy is planning to earn a living in Canada, any skills beyond playing football?

Good lord, he's 37?!?! Man, I remember getting Shoot magazine (before it turned into a Tiger Beat type mag for football) and talking about a rumoured move to QPR and getting to the premiership. Did he ever get to play in the Prem with Derby? My memory is foggy on this.

Always thought that would've made a lethal duo... Ferdinand and Francis... they'd have to rename Loftus Road the Airport because of all the high crosses and the flying they two would do to hammer the ball home.
