OT: JetsGo out of business

Isn't the owner Michel LeBlanc the same guy who left people stranded when his Canada 3000 airline went broke? Also why does his name and the defunct Royal Air seem to to be linked in my mind?

How does this guy keep getting a license to operate airlines?

Actually, he owned Royal when it was purchased by Canada 3000. But I think that it was his lack of cooperation which led to the ultimate demise of Canada 3000 (not presenting this as fact, but an impression I have).

He also purchased Quebec Air, turned it into IntAir, and ran it out of business. This guy seems to have the reverse Midas Touch.

Oh, I'm sure he's made heaping piles of cash while watching those ventures crash and burn. Look after your own first.

$1,100 all said and done round trip to Vancouver for 2 on Tango. Direct. Buddy said book a flight where they use the Airbus something-something because chances are you'll get stuck on an Air Canada Airbus anyway. Maybe he's blowing crap, maybe not but it makes one wonder if I should book now while the fares are still down or wait until my plans get finalised. Tricky.
