argh1
Well it's from a site by a guy who does this on his own, so it's not official. But yet it's an interesting table. France is closing in on Germany. Bert Kassies site....LINK Quote from the site: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The UEFA country ranking is determined by the sum of the UEFA country coefficients over the last 5 years. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
River City
Good link. Although this one gets you to his index page where you can see (based on current standings) how each country would fare into 2008. http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/index.html
argh1
Ehhhhhhhh as much as I am a follower or should I say a watcher of Ligue 1 games. I have a hard time swallowing that Ligue 1 will rate higher than Serie A, by 2008, which I don't watch or follow at all. Untill Ligue 1 changes it's financing of clubs rules and allows clubs to float their shares on the stock market I can't see how French clubs can afford the players. I'm afraid even though over taking Germany maybe a possibility, Spain, England & Italy just have too much of a financial advantage when it comes to buying players. But like it is said ....you've still got to play the games.
amacpher
Well, that's why UEFA looks at the last 5 years and not just 2. France probably will never pass Italy, but they'll pass Germany easily once the bundesliga's great 2001/02 season falls off the chart, if not before.
