argh1
Instead of looking at him at as cocky out spoken guy.Look at him as a guy who takes the focus off his players so they can play. Also what a salesman he is, he can sell a game! What have we heard about to-days game vs Barçelona? He wants this referee, watch the Barça diving refs. I didn't attend the press conference 'till UEFA looked into my Frings/Barça coaching staff complaint. He's comimg across to me as a players coach."I'll take the heat guys, you just go play" The English media does have a reputation for it's zealous behavior. Love him or hate him , he can bring attention to a game! Personally I don't know if it's his antics or not, but I'm looking forward to to-days game. bettermirror
i'm lookin' forward to that smug abramovich losing out on more millions when barca secure a 1-1 or 1-0 victory at stamford bridge thanks to a late second half goal!
argh1
Outside of Current Champs pool I just want to see a good game. Yes Roman needs a realty check. But the worst thing that could possibly happen in this game would be an early Chelski goal. Then it would be 10 or 11 men for the Blues behind the ball, side to side passing, waiting for the counter attack soccer that seems to make a two hour game last 8 hours. Let's hope for nil-nil 1st have and a go for it 2nd half.
elricko
Well I've been a rabid Chelsea fan for over 40 years, this ex-Porto manager is like a breath of fresh air in England, deflects criticism aimed at his team with headline making comments, in a "Cloughie" style. When I look at whining Wenger, utterly-lost Raffa the gaffer at Anfield, I think it's a good thing there's a Scot and a Portugese to state their minds in the EPL. River City
Although I'm not a Chelsea fan, (I am a Porto and Mourinho fan) I'm one of a few people that think Roman's millions is good for football. Establishing Chelsea as another soccer superpower just increases the amount of competitive football and rotates the media attention from Real Madrid, Juventus and Man U. And besides for every Chelsea there's a Man City!
Guest HamiltonSteelers
quote:Originally posted by argh1 I envy you buddy. I've been a QPR fan for over 40 years and I'm still waiting. Les Ferdinand was the greatest striker around. I was pissed when Utd. got Cole and Ferdi went to Newcastle. Even at the age of 38 (or more) he's still bagged clutch goals for Leicester. Sorry, I always liked QPR and felt they deserved a better fate.
