Gold Cup / Jays TV conflicts

I can't find Jays TV schedule, but if Sportsnet showing these Jays games, not good... I'm assuming Sportsnet will show Gold Cup.

July 7 - Costa Rica at 8:30 p.m. - Jays at 7 p.m.

July 9 - USA at 4:30 p.m. - Jays at 8 p.m. - hopefully live

July 12 - Cuba at 9 p.m. - All-Star game at 8 p.m. - I believe Sportsnet shows it

- so game 1 & 3 will be shown at midnight

July 16 - Quarters at 1 & 4 p.m. - Jays home at 4 p.m.

July 17 - Quarters at 3 & 6 p.m. - Jays home at 1 p.m.

- depends when Canada plays

July 21 - Semis at 6 & 9 p.m. - Jays home at 1 p.m. (yes, 1 p.m. on a Thursday)

- no problem here

July 24 - Final at 3 p.m. - Jays away at 2 p.m.

- not good at all. If Sportsnet is showing this Jays game, Canada will be on at like 7 p.m. probably after the news. Notice, there is no if statement [:P]

I can't speak first hand cause I havn't yet been home since they started it, but isn't this the kind of situation they can solve with that whole split network thing? you know east, west, ontario, east north east, pacific, atlanitc, grand banks, whatever, etc...

Didn't the BlueJays move to Washington or memphis or someplace?

Is it just me or is soccer making big ground on baseball? Could just be the NHL strike but everywhere I go, there are people following soccer. I'm betting it won't be long after players like DeGuzman, Hume and Uccello star making international headlines that baseball games won't bump our national team anymore.

International soccer is huge. People on the streets know Beckham, Ronaldo and Zidane.

But no one knows Occéan, DeGuzman or Stalteri.
