HEARTS today asked the Scottish Football Association to postpone Saturday's League clash with Inverness Caley Thistle due to a flu bug which has swept through the first-team squad.

The club contacted Hampden this morning after another four players were sent home from training - Paul Hartley, Stephen Simmons, Mark Burchill and David McGeown.

With Neil MacFarlane, Lee Miller, Jamie McAllister, Marius Kizys, Kevin McKenna and Michael Stewart all toiling and skipper Steven Pressley and Robbie Neilson already ruled out of the weekend clash, the club was left with little option other than to request the call-off.

Boss John Robertson said today: "We had 16 players at training this morning and that included two goalkeepers, two ground staff and a trialist.

"We have contacted the SFA to explain the situation as a precautionary measure. Basically I do not have enough players to choose from."

Medical certificates were due to be faxed through to Glasgow today with a final decision not expected until tomorrow.

According to transfermarkt.de, Brugges paid 700 000 Euro for Klukowski. I would think that once they have secured the league championship that Klukowski should see significant playing time. The other player acquired from La Louviere has been playing though.
