Guest Jeffery S.

Dani Fernandes has been called up for Paok's match tomorrow. Even though they are playing better they've changed coach, think for the second time this year:

FC PAOK announce that the contracts of the Head-Coach Mr. Rolf Fringer and the trainer Mr. Petar Alexandro have have been dissolved through the common consent of both sides.

PAOK's Head-Coach, Mr. Nikos Karageorgiou, chose the 22 players for the game against Kallithea on Sunday 20/02/2005 at Toumba Stadium (kick off 16:30) ...

De Guzman and Hannover came up with a stinker today against the more powerful and organised Bremen team with Stalteri playing 90 min.Hannover go down 4 -1.Feel bad for De Guzman who played with plenty of heart but is on a team that looks like are suffering from poor coaching. After watching this game I am even more delighted that Julian will be at Deportivo next year.

All four Sweden-based canadians played training matches this weekend:

Atiba Hutchinson's Helsingborg defeated fellow premier side Örgryte 1-0. For the second game in a row they tried a 4-2-3-1 formation with Atiba as one of the two defensive mids. Shouldn't this fit better with his role on the canadian NT than the more offensive one he had last year?

Stephen Ademolu played first half and scored once as his Trelleborgs FF defeated 2nd division Högaborg 5-1.

Tyler Hughes played "polished" and had a couple of dangerous crosses from his left side when Öster defeated 2nd division Hässleholm 3-1.

Kenny Stamatopoulos in Bodens BK didn't have much work in his first match for the club. They won 7-1 against 2nd division Piteå.

Elliot Godfrey came close to scoring for Hampton & Richmond Borough in their 0-0 away draw at Yeading FC. Godfrey scooped the ball over Yeading's 'keeper, but unfortunately it landed on the top of the net.

For those of you unfamiliar, Yeading are the non-league club that played Newcastle United in the FA Cup a month or two ago at Loftus Road, holding the EPL side from scoring until the 51st minute.

Anyway, here's a couple of photos of Godfrey:

ARIS Lose (No Kappos):

http://news.ert.gr/en/newsDetails.asp?id=5532

Chalkidona acquired its first win in 2005 against Aris by 1-0. The game was not a very good one, since the opportunities were few and the two teams played mostly in centerfield. The goal that made the difference was scored by Sotirchos in the 47’.

The first half was quickly forgotten by the fans and players which were in the stadium of Neapolis. The only good opportunity in the first half was in the 40’ when Moyo entered the goal area but was stopped by Kallimanis, for the ball to reach Zacharopoulos that caught a week shot which was blocked by Liberopoulos.

During the second half in the 47’ Chalkidona opened the score. Sotirchos caught a strong kick outside of the goal area which Abaris could not block and the ball ended in the nets. From then on Aris tried to heighten its performance but Chatzaras’ week team defense was apparent. In the 62’ when Sanchurcho was found in an advantage position and created an opportunity he stalled. The score did not change and Chalkidona acquired a great win.

Referee: Douros (Corinth)

Yellow cards: Geladaris, Korakakis, Gogolos, Sanchurcho, Naindos, Passalis

Chalkidona: Ebede, Geladaris, Dagas (82’ Al Jacher), Simos, Dimos, Katemis, Sotirchos, Korakakis (89’ Korbos), Koutsis, Zacharopoulos (68’ Chalaris), Moyo.

Aris: Liberopoulos, Papadopoulos, Gogolos, Kallimanis, Naindos, Murafski, Sanchurcho, Markomichalis (46’ Passalis), Debegleras (64’ Inogue), Lazanas, Kouemacha.

Trelleborgs FF's Stephen Ademolu scores in a friendly against Fernando Aguiar's former team, Landskrona BOIS. Game ends in a 1-1 tie.

Translation from http://www.trelleborgsff.se/v2/news.php?nid=1099

...the goal occured after a failed clearing by a Bois defender, where Stephen Ademolu was able to snap up the ball and calmly lob it in for a goal, and 0-1 was a fact...

Don't read this if you are watching game tonight and don't want to know score. Stalteri has started. Lyon are leading 1-0 on a goal by Wiltord that went through the other side of WB's defence. Later Stalteri set up Klose perfectly with a cross but Lyon's keeper made a great save.

As Grizzly stated don't read this if you want to watch the game later. More from Stalteri

18' This match has started at a breathtaking speed and Bremen can consider themselves unlucky to be trailing. A quickfire break on the right sees the ball eventually find Paul Stalteri and his pinpoint cross is met by Tim Borowski, but his spectacular diving header goes into the side-netting, although many home fans thought a goal had been scored.

27' Coupet keeps his side ahead with a wonderful reaction save. Stalteri again finds space on the right and his cross is perfect for Klose. However, the striker's header is superbly kept out by the Lyon goalkeeper.

39' Lyon are hanging on by the skin of their teeth. Stalteri has terrorised them on the Bremen right and another suprb piece of wing play sees his cross find Borowski, but the midfield man fires wide when he really should do better.
