The film follows the exciting story of the Canadian women's national soccer team making history at the World Cup.

This documentary will be airing on Saturday, February 26th on Global TV nationwide (Check your local listings for times!) Here is a summary from a Global news release:

It's a Great Game (Special): This new one-hour documentary follows Canada's national women's soccer team on and off the field as they gear up for the World Cup. Filmed across Canada and the United States over a six-month period, the documentary delves into the lives of several of the players exposing the often tough realities that come with their soccer dreams, from bruising injuries and long hours training to their disjointed family lives and lost teenage years. Produced by Adobe Productions International, and written and directed by Robbie Hart.

I went and saw it last night...very cool. What was most interesting was that in a 1,200 seat venue, there wasn't an empty one to be found and more than 80% were filled by pre-teen girls.

Also there, Evan Pellerud, Kara Lang, Randee Hermus, Andrea Neil, and Amber Allen.

What was shown last night was the full 85 minute version. The TV version is 47 minutes. I thought it was great.
