------------------------------------------------------------------------ go back two pages and then foorward again to correct

Gian-Luca
There are some photos up on the Mexican website from the match, including one of Jamie Peters (who sadly is one of the few players I can actually recognize on the team thanks to our country's pathetic coverage). bungey
What a great start to this tournament! Maybe we caught Mexico unprepared, maybe they took us for granted, or maybe our boys are just better than them. Mitchell definitely prepared the boys for this day! canuck-fan
A fantastic result for our boys. This should leave them filled with confidence for the next two matches. Beating the favorite in the first game is an excellent step towards qualification. By the way, my understanding was that Gyaki was a defensive midfielder, though the Sheffield United site calls him a "box to box" midfielder. What's he doing potting two goals? (Not that I'm complaining, mind you...)
bungey
The Mexican site shows 3 Mexican substitutions and none for Canada - I can't believe that with 3 games in 5 days. I'll wait for the CSA report for that one.

Vancouver Fan
Canada continued to attack in the 2nd half.Good tactics as Mexico never got any rythym going. It wasn{t until the 85min that they got through only to chip over the keeper and the cross bar.Marcell De Jong was shown a yellow after a great hackdown.Mexican players interevned and some Canadian bodies were flying around but no cards to them of course. This Peters kid is something special. At this level he will dominate.Hopefully he continues his developemnet in a positive environment and help the Seniors.Gyaki has some talent too. Michell made some timely subs near the end when legs were tiring.Riley O{neil and I forget the other. It was tough trying to find anyone who new anything about this game down here. The bar manager tried hard to find it on Satelitte and he finally got it on a PPV channel.I was the only Canadian in the bar and the servers we{re getting into it a bit. They felt that they never do as well at this level.I bet a local my Canada hat we{d win.I get his sweaty old cap.I had my kit on and was proud to see the effort by our team. Sorry thats all I{ve got.Did not have any play by play in the bar TV but I did here a Rush song.
Robert
quote:Originally posted by Daniel OHKAY. Now we're in business. Another win against Hondura or Jamaica or two draws will see us through. 4 points might also do the trick. This game was the big one. That's not true. There is always a possiblity of finishing in a three or four way tie. Remember that coin toss at the 2000 Gold Cup. However, it does look pretty damn good when when you take out Mexico in the first game. Let's hope Jamaica can take a point in the next game. If Canada wins in Holland, do we get to enter two teams in Canada 2007?
George
I do believe that I picked the right outcome. Go Reds!! I have all faith in our young nats. (Hopefully one day I will be able to say that about our men's team!!)
