USL 1st DIVISION , limited to 16 teams

Of course we all know how long USL edicts can last.

But with the league now at 12 teams , 3 of which are Canadian , can we expect more than 1 more Canadian team.

Maybe in this light MLS may be less obtrusive to Canadians unless a full Canadian League is on the horizon . After all , no matter how much I may wish for a Canadian league , the reality is there are only maximum of .....say 10 cities .....to pick a number . That can handle full-time pro teams .

I was just thinking with the USL's limiting of teams maybe this raises the importance of our USL 1st division teams as well as our semi-pro CPSL & BCSL teams along with provincial senior teams .

Anyways I'm in the process of re-thinking my stands based on the USL edict.

Still against CSA involvement in one team/one stadium idea.

But with max of 4 USL 1st divisiom teams there maybe room for an MLS team or two.

Naturally I reserve the right to reverse my mind ......just thinking out loud really.
