Andrew W
The Canada West men's soccer final will come down to UVic vs. Calgary after the Dinos upset Trinity Western 2-1 in one semifinal today. Second straight year the Spartans choked when it mattered. UVic humbled the U of A in the other semi 4-1. The gold medal game goes today (Sunday) at 2 p.m. at the Campus West soccer field. bmac
Andrew: Saw the scores in today's Journal. Did you happen to see either of the matches? Comments? I was out visiting the West Coast for the latter part of the season so apart from reading that U. of A. beat UVIC in Victoria to set themselves up to outpoint UBC [with the 1-0 win over U. of C. earlier this week] for the last playoff spot did not see any of their games. I did read that Konye was injured. Not sure with what. Not that surprised that Victoria beat U. of A., except maybe the number of goals that they were able to score. TWU? As you say, that is two years running. I wonder what the excuse will be this time? Good for U. of C.
