El Hombre
From the Ipswich website: Triallist Sandro Grande will be returning home to Canada but Town boss Joe Royle has not ruled out a move to Portman Road for the midfielder. The 27-year-old former Brescia player has spent the past week training with the squad and will see the next few days with Blues before heading back to his homeland. Grande, who helped Montreal Impact to his country's A League title recently, is an international team-mate of Jason De Vos and played in Canada's 2006 World Cup qualifiers over the past month. "Sandro has done well while he has been here but we have not been given permission to play him in reserve team games," Joe told the Club website. "So he will be going back next week and we will wait until the transfer window comes around in January and see what develops from there. "I will talk to his agent before then but we wouldn't make a decision without having here back here for another week or two and be in a position to see him in match action." Kurosawa1555362267
There was an article by Martin Smith about Greg Sutton and Sandro Grande in the Journal de Montréal on november the 2nd. There was nothing new about Grande, except the fact that he will be on the canadian team against Guatemala on november 18th (Along with Greg Sutton, Nevio Pizzolito and Gabriel Gervais). Grande said that it was important for him to play because he wants to keep his place on the team. (isnt it nice!!!) The journalist, Martin Smith, spoke personally with Sutton. Greg said that there was an scout working for different english teams at the A-League final last september. The guy liked what he saw from Sutton so he got the goalie in contact with an agent who got him a trial with Bolton. The trial was supposed to be for a week only but they're keeping Greg there because they liked what they saw from him. The agent also told greg that Liverpool and Ipswich were interested in him. According to the journalist Sutton played a friendly with the bolton reserves against the Liverpool reserves in wich Sutton stopped a penalty shot. The situation is interesting in Bolton for Greg. The first goalie there is Jussi Jaaskelainen and he is pretty good. After that there is Kevin Poole, 41 years old and Andy Oakes who is on loan from Derby County until december.
