How about France for Frank.....

Unhappy Pires criticises France coach Domenech

PARIS, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires has criticised Raymond Domenech saying the France coach does not trust him and makes the national team players "feel tense".

Pires has yet to warm to Domenech, who succeeded Jacques Santini after Euro 2004, and is angry after being replaced at halftime in this month's 2-0 World Cup qualifying win in Cyprus.

"Nothing in his behaviour allows me to believe that he trusts me. I have the impression I'm still at school, that I'm 20 and I've only just started playing football," Pires told sports magazine France Football.

"We need Domenech to make us relax and instead he makes us feel tense by his behaviour, his words, his comments. There are problems between us. He doesn't get on my nerves. On the other hand, I think I do get on his."

Pires has not been at his best for France in recent matches and after a full game in the 0-0 draw with Ireland on October 9 he was stunned to be taken off in Nicosia four days later.

"If the (Cyprus) match had taken place at the Stade de France, I would not have stayed. I would have gone. I would have gone mad, I would have lost my temper," he said.

"When the coach said Daniel Moreira was replacing me, I couldn't believe it. It's the first time in my career I have gone through something like this."

Pires said the situation at his club was radically different as he has such a good relationship with Arsenal's manager.

"In England, I'm lucky to have Arsene Wenger, who knows me well and puts me in the best possible conditions to succeed," he said. "There's a mutual trust between us that doesn't exist elsewhere. Not in the French team in any case."

Are you mad? With his leadership Canada won't even quailfy for the

Gold Cup. Changes need to be made now.

Beast-there is still time for the CSA to change managers, don't panic just yet, as i suggested on another post, Paul James could be the man to lead us to the promised land of the World Cup.

Paul James? Here's a WYC2001 U20 reminder from Argentina:

Canada 0, Iraq 3

Canada 0, Germany 4

Canada 0, Brazil 3

Here's some of the members of that Canadian team: Iain Hume,

Wyn Bellotte, Julian De Guzman, Gaspare Borsellino, Atiba

Hutchinson, Terry Dunfield, Mike Klukowski, Pieter Meulemann,

Tam Nsaliwa, Victor Oppong, Chris Pozniak, Justin Thompson,

Chris Williams ...

Paul James had an AWFUL tournament in Argentina, and doesn't

deserve to be MNT coach, IMO. He's pretty good as commentator

for The Score though ...

And What was Franks record as manager of the national team this WCQ

campaign? Not much better was it? so he doesnn't deserve to be national team manager if you are going by Paul James results:D

So why advocate Paul James if you agree he wasn't good enough?

The only reason you come up with idiotic choices is because

you know squat about their records (Holger, James, Sampson, etc.).

And probably a personal vendetta against Yallop.

Calm down, face this fact: the CSA or anyone will not change

the coach because he wasn't given an ample chance in their eyes.

Paul James had several years to prepare for the 2001 event and

blew it, IMO.

Why the f*ck do I bother ...
