In the Bundesliga, Julian de Guzman is back training as his club are away to Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday. Remains to be seen if he starts, as coach Lienen may want to stick to his winning line up from last weekend.

Paul Stalteri and Werder Bremen host 1. FC Nurnberg Saturday, another promoted club doing very well. Paul is expected to start and the club was in good form midweek with their Champions League victory.

In the Bundesliga 2, Tam Nsaliwa will start with 1. FC Saarbruecken who have another tough match away to 3rd place Alemmania Aachen on Sunday. Ryan Thomson and RW Essen are home to 1. FC Koeln tomorrow, with Ryan expected to be on the bench.

Nik Ledgerwood and 1860 Muenchen reserves are away to FC Augsburg on Saturday in the Regional League South.

Dylan Hughes and the 1.FC Kaiserslautern amateurs are in action on Sunday in the Oberliga Sudwest. Victor Oppong and SV Waldhof Mannheim play Saturday in the Oberliga Baden-Wuerttemberg. Alen Marcina and 1.FC Schweinfurt also play Saturday in the Oberliga Bayern.

As already posted, two big wins for our Canucks in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Hannover 96 impress with their 3rd win in a row, a 2-0 road win over Borussia Moenchengladbach. Hannover climb to 7th in the table as Julian de Guzman puts in 90 minutes in midfield.

Paul Stalteri and Werder Bremen bring 1.FC Nurnberg back to earth with a decisive 4-1 home win, with Paul subbed out of the back field in the 81st minute. Bremen sit in 4th with the win, one spot behind Bayern Munich; both clubs leapfrogging FSV Mainz 05.

Tam Nsaliwa and 1.FC Saarbruecken lost to Alemannia Aachen 3-1 today, dropping to 11th spot in the Bundesliga 2.

In the Regional League South, Nik Ledgerwood comes out in the 65th minute as his 1860 Muenchen amateurs beat FC Augsburg 2-1, all the scoring in the first half.

In the Oberliga Baden-Wuerttemberg, Victor Oppong was in the back four yesterday for SV Waldhof Mannheim in their 2-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim. In the Oberliga Sudwest, 1.FC Kaiserlautern moved into top spot with a 2-1 win today over TuS Mayern but no game report as yet.

A rare midweek slate of games in the Bundesliga sees Julian de Guzman and Paul Stalteri in action. Hannover 96 host bottom club 1.FC Kaiserslautern and a win could conceivably put the 7th place club as high as 3rd place in the league. American Steve Cherundolo who scored on Saturday is out with a concussion. Kaiserslautern won 1-0 in Hannover last year. Bayern Munich are currently 3rd and take on leaders VfL Wolfsburg Tuesday as well.

Werder Bremen sit in 4th place and play Wednesday against VfB Stuttgart who are in second.

The Bundesliga 2 sees Tam Nsaliwa and 1.FC Saarbruecken at home against RW Oberhausen on Tuesday and Ryan Thomson and RW Essen away to Dynamo Dresden.

Stalteri played 90 as Bremen defeated VFB Stuttgart 2-1 in Stuttgart. The win is even more impressive because Werder went down to 10 men in the 66th minute while trailing 1-0 and still managed to score two goals. Davala returned from injury and took Stalteri's place in the back with Paul moving up to midfield.

And that ranking is likely to rise tomorrow. Even with the win, Hannover stays in 7th place as all the teams ahead of them (except the leaders VfL Wolfsburg) also won.

Tam makes the Bundesliga 2 team of the day as central defender for his excellent work in Saarbruecken's victory on Tuesday. Good job Tam!!
