Now it looks like there's no bargain by buying the Combo Deal [maybe you get a large Coke with that :)] but at least it tells me that the games shouldn't conflict like last year when there was a game on the opposite side of town at the same time. Inferno games last year were only $4.00 I believe so now women's games are at par with men's games at least as far as admission price.

If they choose a Lady Lynx game to sacrifice for the school day matinee how many of you guys would p*** yourself with happiness that you'd be able to see Puerto Rico Islanders on a week night instead of during the day and race off to buy season tickets?

An article in the local Etobicoke Guardian paper last week quoted Nicole Hartrell as not in favour of doubleheaders à la Whitecaps with the men's and women's teams playing on the same day. So the 21-game pack could very well be made up of 21 different dates. Also interesting that ticket prices for mens and womens are the same. It looks like they want to communicate that the W-League is a good product in its own right and want it to develop its own following. Say what you want about not being able to see doubleheaders (can you really sit through 4+ hours??) but I think it's a sensible marketing move.

I agree with Robin (and probably most people on this board) that school day games are fine as long as they don't take meaningful games away from the diehard fans. The kids there just want to see the Lynx players, they don't care about (or more likely can't appreciate) the opposition. Play an exhibition against a CPSL squad, or better yet a local college/university/amateur team.... it's not like the crowd will notice the difference. Often the teachers/camp counsellors/etc make the kids leave well before the final whistle anyway.
