CanadasBest
Although I don't think throwing anything on the pitch is a good idea, we need to do something...

No need to throw weed--this is Vancouver! The smoke will waft out from the stands and over the field. I'll bring the chocolate cookies.
yankiboy
quote:Originally posted by fza We still are holding a grudge against that Jamaican down here. He SCREWED US when we played at Costa Rica in a WCQ back in 2001. He gave the Ticos a penalty in the 88th minute for a handball that hit the guys shoulder (it was a "makeup call" for one that he may have missed earlier in the half). That allowed the Ticos to tie the game. WE HATE THAT GUY. We should never allow him to cross out borders. No. I'm not the slightest bit bitter Good luck tonight. With that clown and your record for getting screwed, you guys will need it. Good Luck Canada.

Rivaldo
quote:Originally posted by sstackho Tomorrow is our lucky ref - Prendergast from Jamaica. We have had some good results with him in the Gold Cup, but he's most famous for a phantom foul call in the 2002 World Cup. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/worldcup2002/hi/matches_wallchart/brazil_v_belgium/newsid_2048000/2048030.stm
redhat
Don't forget he was the ref when Canada played Cuba in GC 2003. I don't know, I have the impression that he was better than some of the refs we've had already, including the HOnduras matches and even the Guatemalan game. Maybe we should do a thread on the "Worst instances of CONCACAF refereeing where Canada gets screwed"...[}]
Metro
quote:Maybe we should do a thread on the "Worst instances of CONCACAF refereeing where Canada gets screwed"...[}] I think Gian-Luca might have made a top 10 list on this message board a while back. I'm sure he's amended it a few times since then...
