argh1
Yippers R's go 7 in a row , Leeds win , Notts lose , AFC Wimbledon lose , Wednesday win . Can't believe the Superhoops lately !! I'm starting to wonder how far down the pyramid Notts Co. will fall, wowzers. I was looking at attendances and am always amazed at the level of support in what we North Americans would call the minor leagues . Here's Football League figures from this weekend ( yes I rounded them off ) < edit > I was thinking just for comparison I would put EPL as well. All these figures are from this weekend and don't imply any-thing . Maybe alot of the really big or really small didn't have home dates .....I dunno. EPL : Charlton 26,000... WBA 26,000 Arsenal 38,000... Birmingham 29,000 Blackburn 25,000... Fulham 22,000 Bolton 25,500... Man City 45,000 Everton 35,000 < end of edit > Championship: Coventry 18,000... Gillingham 7,000 Derby Co. 23,000... Cardiff 11,000 Ipswich 23,000... Crewe 7,000 Stoke 15,500... QPR 18,000 Leeds 30,500... Nottingham 22,000 League One : Wednesday 25,000... Milton Keynes 6,000 Bournemouth 6,000... Stockport 4,000 Blackpool 6,500... Swindon 5,500 Bristol City 12,000... Tranmere 9,000 Doncaster 5,500... Wrexham 4,000 Hartlepool 4,500... Luton 8,000 League Two: Boston 2,500... Rochdale 2,700 Darlington 4,500... Rushden 2,700 Grimsby 4,500... Southend 5,000 Kidderminster 2,000... Yeovil 5,000 Leyton Orient 3,700... Mansfield 7,700 Oxford 4,000... Cambridge 4,000 Well yeah I put them all so as not to hi-lite just the good . But even with the lows and with-out checking, alot of our minor leagues would be proud with alot of these figures . I really have no point except that the level of support almost always amazes me . argh1
R's finally lose one 2-1 away to North End so the run ends at 7. What should we say now... Superhoops win 7 of their last 9 Leeds 1-1 Reading . United definatly mid-table 18 points in 13th place . Probably where the Whites should aim for after starting the year with almost a brand new squad and still lot's of back office goings ons . (Championship) Notts Co. tie 1-1 Darlington at home ....a point's a point [8D]. Has any-one else noticed that Leyton Orient are off to wicked start 23 points in 3rd spot ? (League 2) Speaking of wicked fast starts . How 'bout Luton Town... 1st place 32 points after 14 games . Owls tie Peterborough 1-1 away ....well it's a point. Wednesday slowly movin' up in a pack of 5 at 20 points 0nly 2 points in back of Hull holding the last play-off place . (League 1)
