Ashton Gate
Those of you in Edmonton in need of a quality soccer fix this weekend could head down to Foote Field Sunday 12th September. U of A Pandas are playing Edmonton Drillers U-16 1989 boys at 2.00 pm. Pandas include Christina Kahlina from Canada 2002 U-19 squad. Drillers boys have players who have played against Arsenal U-15 boys last April in England and have one boy (Cameron Schmidt) in the Prairies NTC. Do you know in what field/stadium/park will the National Club Championships of Girls U-18 play their games in October. I have written to the CSA and Edmonton Soccer Assoc. but so far nobody seems to know. Do you or do you know who does? thanks
beachesl
Both the Men's and Women's U-18 National Championships will be played at the Edmonton Soccer Complex in Edmonton (14920-142 Street), located in the Northwest of Edmonton. You have to get onto 137th Avenue from either the West Side (get off the St. Albert Trail, which is also Hwy #2 North, onto 137th Avenue, and turn left just beore the tracks at 142 Street) or the East side (turn right onto 142 Street just after the tracks). After turning onto 142nd Street, head north about 1 1/2 kms, and the road to the ESC is on the left. The sign can be difficult to see. It has 8 good fields and a great clubhouse. The dates are: October 6 to 11.
