Luis_Rancagua
Unfortunately, the time has come to fire the coach now. I just hope from this experience that Kevan Pipe takes that famous walk in the snow and tender his resignation ASAP.
Natesta
Something Certaily needs to be done, who would you write a letter to in order to have the President of the CSA and all his cronies (including Yallop) fired? Who are they accountable to?

There doesn't seem to be some plan of action for the immediate future as it stands.
fza
I listened the post game conference and Yallop said he has an excellent group of guys that have played their hearts out, that all we need is a little bit of luck because at times Canada seems to be playing against 2 teams with the unfair officiating, he mentioned a PK not called in the first half on a foul on DeRo. He believes if we win the next 3 we might have a chance, but anyhow they`ll keep fighting until they don`t have a mathematical chance to qualify. I say we play the rest of the games we have left with everything we got and go for the impossible, what the heck we have nothing to lose!

I know you guys are pissed off, so am I, but you've only set yourselves up for disappointment with ridiculous expectations. We did not field our best team tonight, and we were in tough before we even started the campaign. Yallop has been at the helm for nine months, has he not? Hell, the Columbians would even give him a longer chance to prove himself that you two ****ers would. Our team has some decent talent, most of it very young and immature, but we were never THAT talented that we could breeze over any team. We do not play enough games together, and Yallop had little time to really get a hold of this team and this program. Had he been at the helm for a few years and end with this result, then I'd probably have to agree with you. But he needs a fair chance to get results, and nine months won't do it. I am sad for the guys. I know we still have a mathematical chance to qualify, but it looks pretty well done now. I love our guys and am proud they fought hard in Edmonton--probably tonight, too--but I suspect this could be the sort of result that forces the CSA to make some wise changes. (Naive? Maybe, but I'll be optimistic, too). I hope Yallop and Mitchell get well pissed off and demand changes. I sense that the CSA will listen to them. I could be wrong. Anyhow, I'm pretty bummed right now. I hope Frank can build our team up again over the next 4 years. Thank god our hockey team spanked the Slovaks tonight. I don't give a crap if some of you think it is an iffy sport--to me hockey is the other beautiful game. It reminds me of soccer in so many ways. Too bad most of the world sucks at it!! Love you guys--I think I need to take a break from this for a short while, get my energy up again, and see what we can do to build fan support. Absolutely...Kevan Pipe please resign for the sake of the game..16 years of Chief Operating Officer and no results...no domestic league...sweet **** all!!! Time for Andrew Sharp to Resign as President! We need new blood now especially for the U20 in 2007 and 2010 World Cup... How dissapointing, how heartbreaking...I hate to wait for another 4 years, but it seems to be that the bigwigs and the beurocrats from the CSA don't give a ****. I don't think firing Yallop is the answer, I honestly don't beleive he wasn't given enough to prepare this squad. Not enough friendlies leading to qualifying. What the **** was the CSA doing? Putting their fingers up their asses!! We need change now!!!
Chet
Yallop should have been fired eight months ago. If a coach can't get you to the World Cup in his first week on the job then, for god's sake, replace him with someone who can. There have to be at least 208 guys who could do a better job than Yallop between now and the next WCQ.

Bxl Boy
Why fire Yallop ? Seriously ? If he's the one who makes the program for the national team, then yes, fire him. Else, fire that man. Now, if we're out, what's probable, the national team will disappear of the circulation for a while, juste like... 3 years. And then, a bunch of players who never played together will have to qualify for South Africa Maybe, probably I'd say, more talented than those ones and with more of them in bigger competitions. However, the result will be the same : the team won't be ready. You can't build a national team in 6 months. Now, it's the good time to prospect, try, and play games against british-style teams easy to meet. But please, keep the main players in the team. No B-team ! Devos, Radz and the others must play for us each game. They are our spinal column. The other will have to adapt to them and not the opposite like it's now... just because the other are regulars and our "stars" just come for important games. Then, when the group will be formed, like... 6 months before the qualifyings, it will be the time to play against central-america-like opponents. And not to begin our preparation !!! Then, we could be ready. A national team leaves 4 years a "World Cup cycle" and not from 6 months before the first qualification game until the predictable elimination. So, if Yallop can keep his group and play often games with them, even if the next games aren't important to qualify for something, he must stay. Stability and long-term thinking... two words lacking in canadian soccer dictionnary...
Soju
The fans aren't the only ones frustrated. It'll take a coach the players bond with to get them to keep coming back and committing time to a losing cause, especially for this country. Isn't that man Frank Yallop? Alex M
You're ridiculous man. First of all, until we're mathmatically out of this tourney, we're still in it. Secondly, did Pipe, Yallop, Quarry, pay off a mexican referee to single handedly take two points away from Canada? Third, It is next to impossible for a team like Canada to walk into Costa rica and take points away. I'm confident that we can do it in Guatemala and maybe even Honduras. Then we kick a little Costa Rican ass back home when it's frigid. Look, you guys are whats wrong with Canadian sports enthusiats. You're either at one extreme or another. To make the hex would be an amazing accomplishment and you folks were talking World Cup. Any team can get a bunch of great individual players but unless they can play together more often by way of camps (which Yallop has done) then we can't expect them to set the world on fire. There are a few major holes in Canada's game at it always starts for the back. Onstad has been a great soldier but can you really count on him to make Hirschfeldian saves? Our defense is slow and immobile. DeVos, Jazic and Stalteri make for a graet trio but we need another gap stop. With another solid defender, the rest of the team wouldn't have to worry so much about the back line and start pushing forward to create more scoring opportunities. The team is young and I believe we've got the right coach for the job. To fire Yallop would be a slap in the face to many and I can guarantee you that there would be a bunch of dissapointed players. Everyone makes mistakes and he's made a few but let the man do his job. PS. firing a coach during WC qualifying is the dumbest thing uttered on this board in a long time. We're not Brazil. Stop your bitching, stop writing useless letters (They should only be used in extreme cases) and support your countrymen. Well, there's my post for the year now I'll go back to trolling.
