Toronto papers are a joke

Absolutely nothing in the Star on Saturday, Sunday or Monday. A little note in Sunday's Sun but it went to press before the game so it just said they were supposed to play or whatever. Absolutely nothing in the Hamilton Spectator. I didn't pick up any of the so-called "national" papers.

Sad part is they all had recap articles off the wires from the rest of the world. But nothing about CONCACAF. How exactly does this happen? It's like reporting about corruption in the rest of the world, but never looking into for wild examples sponsorships, gun registeries (sp?), elections every 2 years...on second thought...

The story in the Globe was from a CP writer in Edmonton, nothing controversial. They did put a picture of Attiba and Onstad sanwiching a Honduran (pretty graphic because the guy is really getting crunched, looks like Onsatd's knee has got him right in the jewels)and credited that play with being the one that caused the penalty. They also mentioned that Honduras almost qualified for the 2000 World Cup, which is remarkable considering there wasn't a World Cup that year!
