Result of the Tuesday August 31st, 2004 CPSL game between North York Astros and Toronto Supra played at Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan at 9:00pm.

46 min (injury time)...Supra Jose Moreira GOAL...Supra Fabio Silva recovers ball off deflection off Astros defender which bounces forward for Silva who runs down left and crosses in ball to right and Moreira's 7 yard header bounces under sprawling goalie Dario Ferreyra to left corner of net.

70 min...Supra Danny Amaral GOAL...Supra Frank Cardona cornerkick from left has Amaral leaps and nods down header into net on right from 3 yards.

89 min...Supra Danny Amaral GOAL...Supra Alex Apetri rolls pass to Amaral on left and his short 7 yards shot is into left side of net.

Final Score:.....North York Astros.........0............Toronto Supra..........3.............

Attendance was about 75 on this mild evening with the temperature falling.

Supra goalie Michael Silva earned the shutout. He had one huge save in the 87th minute when the game was still in doubt when Astros Daniel Jaroch got a through ball between the Supra defenders and his 20 yard shot was saved by Silva sliding to the edge of the box. Otherwise the backline of CPSL veterans Garvin Houston, Domagoj Sain and Robert Fran didn't let any shots to be taken.

Supra had much of the possession but finished with sloppy passing and didn't get away a lot of shots on net.

Astros are now out of the playoff race in the tough Eastern Conference. If the league had not divided the teams into two Conferences, the Astros would have still been in the playoff race for at least another few games in a one eleven team division because there are quite a few teams in the west hovering around a .500 record.
