DarnCherry
I have been sent 9 photos of the Guatemala match, a couple of them show some of the johnniemonster incident. I've uploaded them to my webshots page at the end of my photos. http://community.webshots.com/user/krammerhead

Jarrek
I don't know about you but I feel like writing a "Canadian Supporters Heckled by Cops at Guatemala Match" and posting it on the homepage as a feature.
DarnCherry
You know, with all the cops, security, and CSA officials in my face at this game, the only time I got to watch any of it was when I took photos. In fact I got to watch very little of this match. Yes there should be a story about this on the front page.

Guest Dave
Bloody nazis. Typical of the Canadian neo-fascist law enforcement. Harrassing innocent and harmless folks because they don't have the balls to deal with real criminals.

G-Man
Wow. What a huge grandstand. I mean 5 rows high. No wonder BC gets the bulk of national team games and Montreal gets none.
DarnCherry
G-Man are you really that retarded? I'd have thought you'd know the difference between a grandstand and a set of bleachers.
G-Man
5 rows down a 100 yard area. Seats what? 1000? The retarded part is having MNT games there when Montreal gets a miss.
Loud Mouth Soup
From what I get in Morgan Quarry's letter in the other thread, don't expect Montreal at all any time soon.

Tell you what though, those 1,200 seats on that side are the closest seats to the pitch of any FIFA approved stadium in Canada.
Former Champ
quote:Originally posted by Blue and White Army That would be Pedram. [|)] What a nice guy he was! Swanguard isn't my favorite venue, but it kicks ass over Winnipeg, is a superior venue to Kingston, and a hell of a lot better than anything they got in Toronto right now (unless you want to consider the 'dome). I din't like the bleachers either, but did you see the scenery in some of those pics? I want to see a bunch more games there so lay off. Varsity Stadium WAS a cool venue. I wanna see more games in Swanguard, I might even follow the Mustangs there next year, and how many sellouts have there been for the A-League in Canada this year? So lay off. I would love to see a game in Montreal. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Daniel
quote:Originally posted by Loud Mouth Soup From what I get in Morgan Quarry's letter in the other thread, don't expect Montreal at all any time soon. He's just towing the party line. Games are only confirmed in Vancouver and Edmonton, so he can only mention those. If they are the only two adequate stadiums in Canada, why was WCQ held in Kingston? PS... you Eastern guys really owe it to yourself to go to the October game in Burnaby. I know how expensive travelling is , but... You'll really love it, and maybe understand the Southsiders a little better. Dave
Have Flag-will travel
Were the cops cheering when Guatemala scored??? What a bunch of clowns. Is this the new symbol of Canadian law enforcement - wanna be tough guys - harrassing fans - replacing the respected Mountie on the horse. They should take off the respected R.C.M.P uniforms if they are going to be bullies.
