Paul Stalteri is listed as a reserve by kicker magazine for Werder Bremen's game on Saturday away to Hansa Rostock. It appears that newcomer Gustavo Nery will be starting in the back four at Paul's expense.

Julian de Guzman has no game this weekend as their scheduled match against newly promoted Arminia Bielefeld is postponed unil September due to construction at Hannover's ARD Stadium for the world cup in 2006.

In the Bundesliga 2, Tam Nsaliwa is scheduled to start as 1.FC Saarbruecken travel to play MSV Duisburg tomorrow. Ryan Thomson is still waiting for papers from Croatia before he can play for RW Essen; he may be able to go on Sunday against Eintracht Trier.

In the Regional League South, Nik Ledgerwood of 1860 Muenchen's amateur team are away to FC Noettingen tomorrow. Nik was on the reserves bench last weekend.

In the Oberliga Nord, Maycoll Canizales may be starting for Hannover 96 amateurs as they open their season away to Holstein Kehl II this weekend (not last, as I mistakenly had down last week). Canizales played the first half in a local cup game for the Hannover reserves a few days ago. Blerim Rrustemi and the Borussia Moenchengladbach amateurs open against Yurdumspor Koeln on Sunday in the Oberliga NordRhein. He did not play in their last friendly. In the Oberliga Bayern, Waldemar Dutra has yet to see action with 1.FC Schweinfurt. They play their third game on Sunday (1W, 1D in 2 games to date).

Yurdumspor Koeln - is that a ehtnic Turkish team or something? Just wondering by the first name.

I would imagine it is. Lots of Turks living in Germany.

The Oberligas are full of Turkish teams. Berlin alone has 2 or 3 Turkish teams in its Oberliga if I recall. Well supported and apparently decent sides, though there's been alot said and written about how ethnic sides, at least in Germany, will struggle to ever get past the fourth rung.
