bubbles
So has anyone hung in effigy Steve Nash for wearing an England jersey on the Dr Phil show the other day ?
DoyleG
Just give Martin a call. I'm sure he'll set things right.
Blue and White Army
What's wrong with wearing an England jersey? I wear the England jersey. Doesn't mean I prefer England to Canada.... if I wore Canada every day of the week, the shirt might start to get a little smelly!
redhat
quote:Originally posted by bubbles So has anyone hung in effigy Steve Nash for wearing an England jersey on the Dr Phil show the other day ? Nash wore that practice jersey because that was given to him by one of his friends on the England MNT. I would never question Steve's loyalty, considering he wore Canadian colors all his life without any reservation. During the Sydney Olympics, he even paid for some of the travel expenses for his teammates as Canada Basketball was (and still is) on a very limited budget. Worse than the CSA even. argh1
Nah, don't question Nash's loyalty . I think the last WC was the first he missed in a while but he made it to the 2003 olympic qualifying . Maybe ask where our other NBAers were ?
DarnCherry
To make it up to people that are now upset with him he should buy the Edmonton A-League franchise. After all he can afford it.
devioustrevor
Steve Nash has played for Canada virtually every Summer since 1993. Anyone who questions his loyalty is way off base.
DJT
I don't question his loyalty. But if he's going to wear a soccer jersey on TV then I'd rather he'd wear a Canadian jersey, because with his image it could help Canadian soccer. Also, Dr. Phil? Yikes!
