Loud Mouth Soup
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/colchester_united/3924315.stm Colchester have decided not to offer contracts to ex-Watford players Sam Swonell and Elliott Godrey, who had been on trial at Layer Road. The pair did not feature as the U's beat Watford, their former employers, 2-1 in a friendly on Saturday. Boss Phil Parkinson told the club website: "I felt they just fell a bit short of getting in our first team. "They need to play first team football, as they have already experienced reserve level at Watford." However, Parkinson will take a longer look at former Tottenham man Ben Bowditch, who came on as a substitute against the Hornets. Craig Fagan scored both goals for Colchester in that game - including one from the spot - before Danny Webber replied for Watford.
