Tam Nsaliwa

Recommended Posts

I knew that this was going to happen given the fact that Jahn Regensberg were relegated down to the Regionalliga (Bundesliga-3). I would love to see Tam playing at a high level either Bundesliga 2 or 1. I'm wondering if Tam is still marketable for other clubs higher-up within the the top leagues of Germany???

Here's some news on Tam Nsaliwa. Can someone please translate this article.

The club would like the two players to stay on but the players are undecided (dated 24th June).

Ed, have you heard of any rumours of interest in Tam by other German clubs? At least he sees to have the option to stay at Regensberg if there is not.

Good to hear. I hope Yallop keeps tabs on Tam, as that Olympic qualifying tourney that he felt Tam struggled in was quite some time ago, and Tam was coming off an injury to boot. 2nd bundesliga (which Tam has been playing at now for several seasons) is still a higher level than a lot of our other players.

Tam was the best Saarbrucken player in their first friendly last Friday, scoring the 2nd goal in a 6-0 win over a lower league team and was in the 1st eleven again today in another win. Here's a recent photo of him:

Two goals for Tam yesterday in another pre-season game. The club director was very high on Tam in the Bundesliga.com article.

Article on Tam on kicker.de, 2 Bundesliga

goes something like this...

"Right-footed Nsaliwa Capitalizes on Gap at Left"

-We stand firm to only keeping someone if we're impressed, if it means a strengthening." President Hartmut Ostermann doesn't allow himself to be misled. Four weeks until the start of the season, and still the number of committed Saarbruecken players remains at three too few. Three new additions - and none of the 18 second leaguers acted half-assed. Signs of confidence from the promoted team, or a question of the applicants' quality?

The fact is that the players tested up to this point haven't satisfied the (high?) demands of trainer Horst Ehrmantraut.

"If we're going to keep someone, he has to be stronger than what we have," says the President. "And that hasn't been the case so far," he said and sent three more candidates (Wagner, Polovanec, Basic) home.

Finally someone has accomplished this with the right-footed Tamandani Nsaliwa (22, signed two-year contract), someone nobody had reckoned with. The Canadian envisions himself with his ex-club Saarbrücken (40 assignments from 2001 to 2003) on the right side. But it's actually a player for the left side that's needed, but "we're keeping him because he's dynamic, and can be played anywhere," said Osterman...
