Vancouver Fan Posted July 2, 2004 Share Posted July 2, 2004 60 seats in section M rows 2 to 4 in the Eastside bleachers has been set aside for us.These are really good seats just right of centre and we will be able to get T.V.exposure.They have been paid by me on credit card. Thanks to Marian Hynd of the CSA for putting me in touch with someone at ticketmaster. Total price of ticket is $33(including service charge).I'll have the tickets next Wednesday.I'll ship them out as I receive payment. I've heard from about 30 to 40 of you through this board,the Southsiders board and E-mails.It will be first come first serve but everyone should be accomadated. Send me a note stating how many tickets you require and a cheque for the correct amount.Include your return address. I mean, everywhere else in the world has fans behind the goals. Look at Euro! Players can actually reach out and touch the fans behind the goals, and these are top rate international matches! DarnCherry Posted July 2, 2004 Share Posted July 2, 2004 My guess is there's too much "freedom" in the southside, that is there isn't permanent seats and people can just walk around. I guess it's different when there's just seats that close to the pitch. What I'm amazed at is that they aren't putting any seating in the south end as they used to do (behind the track). Do they think that there is no interest in the match? Looks like capacity will be just 6,800-7,100 depending on whether they use the Whitecaps temporary bleachers on the track or not. Hey Ted, if you're looking for somewhere to watch the game in the QC, O'Hanlon's on Scarth is a nice place and pretty soccer friendly. Get there a little early and ask them to put on the big screen and I think they'd do it.
