CHILL SET RECORD ATTENDANCE IN 1-0 WIN OVER REBELS

The Thunder Bay Chill defeated the Wisconsin Rebels 1-0 this afternoon in front of 2418 fans in the annual "School Days" game. Chill midfielder, Vasilis Androutsos took a Kosuke Kimura pass in the 37th minute to score the only goal of the game.

The afternoon schools game was the culminating activity of the "Get Active with the Chill" program which was a cross promotion between the Chill players, Sylvan Learning Centre, the Thunder Bay Health Unit, and the participation of both the Catholic and Lakehead School Boards.

Although Chill management was satisfied with the conditions of the playing field, they were disappointed with the sound system that failed midway through the game. "Not having a sound system to mention our supporters and all the many different promotions that were scheduled for the game was unfortunate," commented marketing director Karen Matson.

"The game was a great tune up for our players and it allowed us to play many of our younger kids who don't see much time", mentioned Chill coach, Tony Colistro. Coaching staff were quite pleased with the performance of future star keeper, Stephen Paterson who is only 16 and attends Churchill High School.

The Chill will meet the Rebels again Saturday night vs. the Rebels at Fort William Stadium. Kick off is 7:30pm and this will be a league game.
