aussoccerfan
MY TEAM HAS PLAYED TWO GAMES, AND WE HAVE LOST BOTH. OUR TEAM HAS HAD ONLY ONE PRACTISE, BECAUSE, THE COACH KEEPS HAVING TO RUN OFF TO PLACES. THE COACH WATCHES US PLAY PATHETICALLY, AND TELLS US THAT WE DID FINE. (EVEN I CAN SEE, WHAT MY TEAM DID WRONG.) THIS IS INSANE.

JayWay
It means you need to start a revolution, and it needs to involve French people.

aussoccerfan
My club is hard-up for coaches. My coach runs two teams, and knows nothing about soccer. Today after our third loss of four games that we have played, he sent home a notice, begging, for an assistant coach. Our season is short too, because we're the rec-league (Tier-2B), we have played 4 games and our season's just barely started, but there's also only 9-games left. THIS IS INSANE, WHAT SHOULD I DO ? Guest Jeffery S.
I played a year age 17 with the worst possible coach and we suffered for it. He was useless, we got beaten terribly in spite of having some talent (I was not one of these players). I think the only thing you can do is rearrange the team with the other players and decide what you want to do on the field over a drink. And go out and play how you want, as in the end the players on the field decide and are always free to ignore the coach. Treat him like a figure-head and alter the strategy, player positioning, once the game starts. This is the true revolution of our time: on-the-job self-management. The Bastilles of our time are empty relics and don't have enough symbolic value to be worthy of assault.
aussoccerfan
WE'RE AN U14 TEAM, TODAY, THIS IDIOT COACH, HAD OUR TEAM PLAY ONE OF OUR CLUB'S U16 TEAMS. WE LOST TOO, THIS COACH IS OUT OF HIS MIND. JEFFERY S, ONE PLAYER (NOT ME) IGNORED OUR COACH, AND HELPED OUR TEAM, BY DOING SO. THE PLAYER WAS YELLED AT LATER. _________________________________________________________________________ HE TOLD OUR TEAM THAT IF WE MISS PRACTISE MORE THAN A COUPLE OF TIMES, WE'LL HAVE LESS PLAYING TIME, EVEN THOUGH OUR CLUB'S HANDBOOK STATES EQUAL PLAYING TIME FOR ALL PLAYERS (NO MATTER WHAT)! Canuck Oranje
I don't think it is useful to blame the coach. He is only doing what he is capable of. Sounds to me he has taken on too much but has no choice because no one else has volunteered. I suggest that you and your teammates take on the responsibility of success yourselves. I doubt you will find another coach. It sounds like a house league or rec league because of the equal time rule so try to find ways to enjoy and improve amongst yourselves. Show some leadership. Find some teammates that are willing to do the same. Turn this into a year that your really learn something important. Show your parents that this team can be a real team despite the coaching setback. Come to think of it, that sounds a little like a revolution. Good Luck!!!! aussoccerfan
The one game my team ignored the coach, our team tied the other team 1-1. The last game our team listened to the coach and we lost 6-0. The league is a Halifax city-wide league, but our division is called TIER 2B, which is the rec division. Former Champ
You sound very passionate and ambitious, dude, why don't you take the assistant coach job. It'll be a little bit of work, but you will join a great list of player/coaches. Then next year you will be even more prepared. If you want something done right... When I was 14 I coached my own Atom (u-9) hockey team for 2 years and it was really fun. And I got picked on at school a lot less because I was coaching everyones little brother or sister. aussoccerfan
OUR SEASON IS ALMOST OVER, EVEN THOUGH MY TEAM OBEYED THE COACH HE IS STIFFING ME AND 2 OTHER PLAYERS, WHEN IT COMES TO PLAYING TIME. EVEN THOUGH THE CLUB'S HANDBOOK SAYS "EQUAL PLAYING TIME FOR ALL PLAYERS"! THIS COACH KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT SOCCER, AND TO BE ALLOWED TO COACH THEY HAVE TO TAKE COURSES. THIS IS NUTS! THIS IS NUTS! THIS IS NUTS!
