Guest Jeffery S.
There is a post on BigSoccer from May 23, in the Swiss-Austria section, that confirms that he has signed a new contract with the club. As there was some speculation about him getting an offer from a Bundesliga club on this board I thought it was worth mentioning. Maybe someone watching the practice sessions in Ottawa could fire a quick question to confirm this his way. If true it would suggest he wanted to sort out his club future before traveling with Canada and taking holidays.
Guest Jeffery S.
This Reuters piece is related, St. Gallen sign an agreement with Stuttgart. Don't think it is right that St. Gallen was fifth, they ended 4th in the Swiss Super League. St Gallen and Stuttgart team up GENEVA, June 4 (Reuters) - Swiss league side St Gallen have signed a collaboration agreement with Vfb Stuttgart of the Bundesliga, it was announced on Friday. From the 2004-5 season the clubs will exchange players and ideas as well as support each other with training, St Gallen said in a statement. Guest Jeffery S.
Lili, welcome back, long time since we've heard from you. Thanks for confirming this, and correcting me on you coming 5th. I put you ahead of Zurich on emotional difference. Too bad you couldn't sneak into UEFA this year. What are your thoughts on this deal with Stuttgart? Lili
well i think this could be a good deal for fc st.gallen. but it depends on how serious both clubs are gonna take it.. how close they're gonna work together. there are "farmteams" in hockey, so why not try something similar here.. we'll see. in the end i'd prefer our (good) players signing with stuttgart instead of playing for another swiss team .
