The link is to Belize's results since 1995. They have had some upsets of note, tying Guatamela 3-3 and 0-0 and defeating Cuba 3-2. Most of thier victories are over fellow UNCAF minnows Nicaragua.

yeah guys they never played competitavly in 2 yrs. but we cant underestimate the oppent I want a score of 8-0 a $1 for every goal heheheh

If they are getting results against teams like Cuba and Guatemala and killing Nicaragua then I don't think we should be taking them too lightly.I'm sure that New Zealand never thought they'd lose to Vanuatu.

I believe this is valid the other way too. Or best yet why don't you offer $5 for each goal against canada. First game 2:1 in favor of Belize. Next game...

I'm not sure about that Nicaragua result--it's not on the FIFA list and IIRC it may have been youth teams. The

0-0 against Guatemala in WCQ was the final game of the round and meaningless for both team--the Guatemalans originally wanted to cancel the match but ended up playing with a very weakened squad. The 3-3 and 1-2 against Guatemala were both against the full squad though.

Our last encounter at the A team level against Nicaragua was in 2001 where we won both games with an aggregate of 4 - 1.

While it is true that Guatemala didn't play with its original squad, neither did Belize.

FYI Edon Rowley who scored the Goal for Belize during the 2 - 1 Game with Guatemala was just completing 17 at the time. Vallan Symms, Shane Moody, Mark Leslie, Emory Nunez all these guys were very young. These guys along with Muschamp, Frazer, Slusher, Alvarez, etc have been the core team for the past few years. These are the same guys who will be playing against canada.

It is unfortunate that the situation in Belize football didn't allow us to present the team we truly wanted. For example we won't have Bent Burgess, Norman Nunez, Raul Celiz from local tournaments. The campos brothers from american universities. Selvin de Leon from club Comunicaciones of Guatemala.
