Winnipeg Fury
TORONTO LYNX MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LYNX TO BATTLE CPSL CHAMPS! Thursday, May 20, 2004 (TORONTO, ON) ˆ Lynx fans can catch the team in action this upcoming weekend when they are hosted by the defending CPSL Champion, the Brampton Hitmen, in an exhibition match this Saturday, May 22nd at Victoria Park in Brampton with a 5:30 pm kickoff. The Hitmen are preparing for their upcoming season and are looking forward to increasing the competition for their club while the Lynx are in good form coming off a 2-1 victory over the Rochester Raging Rhinos in their home opener last weekend. Head Coach, Duncan Wilde, will use the match to prepare for the home-and-home series against the Montreal Impact next weekend when they travel to Montreal on Friday May 28th and host Montreal in Toronto on Sunday May 29th at 6:00 in their annual Girl Power Night. Wilde will also use the match to take a closer look at several reserves and „trialists‰. A Brampton Hitmen/Lynx exhibition match which had been scheduled earlier in the spring had to be cancelled by the Hitmen due to the unavailability of a venue. For more information and directions visit www.bramptonhitmen.org. NOTES FROM THE LAIR ƒ Lynx Honours: Defender, Adrian Serioux, earned A-League Team of the Week honours for Week 5. Actually he's a good guy and does his job very well. If you want to look for blame, look towards to the headboss - the one who asserts her influence on every facet of the organization, including the press releases. big fan
The Toronto Lynx will use this game as a tune up game for the big weekend against Montreal. It will also give some of the other players that haven't been playing a chance to play. Should be a decent game.

big fan
I think it was around 4-0. Many Lynx starters were given the day off. First half was close but the Hitman lost their legs in the second half.
Rocket Robin
I saw Hitmen head coach Steve Nijjar at the Shooters vs Supra game tonight. He said the score ended 3-0 and they lost it when he started making substitutes. There was a downpour in the 2nd half (would have been soggy notes) and both teams were wearing uniforms rather than sweatshirts (so I would have been able to tell the players apart) (two reasons I stayed away from the game). I ended up playing NTN trivia. Knowing Denny Laine used to play for The Moody Blues helped me finish in the top 1% of North American players for the music trivia game.
