Game Notes

This equalled the team record for biggest win in a home opener (5-0 over the Albuquerque Crush on May 12, 2002)

The crowd of 3,194 was the second largest for the regular season in team history, excluding double-headers.

The win was the first for the Caps under new Head Coach Chris Bennett. He made a surprise substitution at half-time, replacing star striker Phebe Trotman with defender Sasha Andrews. The move proved to be a brilliant one, as it saw Andrea Neil move up to midfield, and Moscato move up to striker. Moscato opened scoring right after the restart.

Kara Lang, Brittany Timko, and Katie Thorlakson didn't play as they have been back East with the Canadian U-19 Team for a pair of games against Germany.

The Whitecaps are on a 13-game undefeated streak. Their last official loss was in their May 11, 2003, home-opener, 3-1 to Seattle.
