Gian-Luca
Stalteri and the rest of the regular starters for Bremen have started for Bremen who are down 3-0 early in the first half against Leverkusen in a game that the Bremen players obviously couldn't give two squirts of piss about since they have already won the league. A bit surprised that they didn't play a few subs or reserve players in these meaningless games, perhaps they want to keep the starters fresh for the Cup final on the 29th. De Guzman has started for Hannover, scoreless in the first half. A big game for them in order to stay in the Bundesliga, especially with 1860 Munich leading Hertha Berlin 1-0 in the first half (I haven't checked but I'm assuming that our respective young Canucks on each team aren't playing for the senior squads today)
Gian-Luca
Bremen lose 6 to 2, while Hannover draws 0-0 and will be staying in the Bundesliga as 1860 tied Hertha 1-1 and can't catch them.
WildboutCdnScr
Little aside here, but Josh Simpson scored twice for the Boulder Rapids Reserves in a 6-3 win over Sioux Falls on Friday night (May 14) in PDL action. Despite Liam Girard not being listed in the lineup, he apparently picked up a yellow card in the 84th minutes. Guest Jeffery S.
Ante Jazic played 90 as Rapid Vienna fell foolishly at home to Admira Wacker 1-3 to screw up their UEFA chances, they lie fourth three pts. back of the spot they want. Daniel Imhof was subbed off m. 71 for St. Gallen's goal scorer but it was not enough as they lost to Young Boys 2-1. He'd been yellow carded shortly before. They also will end fourth, losing an outside chance at UEFA as well.

Guest Ed
Onstad was solid though. He had 10 saves or so when DD entered the game.

Grizzly
Nsaliwa came on in the 86th minute for Regensburg who tied with Mainz 0-0. Regensburg remains in a demotion place by one point with a tough final match of the season against promotion chasing Cottbus. I wonder if Nsaliwa has a contract that is valid after a demotion or if he will be soon seeking a new team.
Informer
Marcina scores on his debut in Iceland. There definitely a reason why PAOK of Greece Signed him for a 3 year deal as a foriegner. His speed and quickness is unmatched. Would of like to see the ball more on his feet as he is very dangerous with the ball running at defenders. Way to go IA, Build on the second half performance. Canada should definitely keep on eye on this Canadian Striker.

Dandal
Lots of goals in today's canadian action in Sweden. Enköping drew Bodens BK away 3-3 with Kenny Stamatopoulos in goal and Helsingborg also played 3-3, against GIF Sundsvall. Atiba started, but had to leave the pitch at 81 with some kind of injury, no detailed news yet.

Guest Jeffery S.
Fernando Aguiar came on m. 55 as Benfica came back to beat Porto 2-1 after extra time for the Portuguese Cup. Aguiar's second "Taça" win after victory with Beira Mar, then in 2nd division, in 2000. Great season Fernando! Aguiar is pending a contract renewal for a year at Benfica or else the chance to look for another Portugal top flight team for next year, where offers seem to abound
