daveanthonysimpson
yeah i finally became a part of the forum just to clear up a couple of things. number one- this whole thing about me being in hungary is false. i made the team but Italo( president of hamilton) didn;t give me my papers. he also wont release me even tho he wont pay me. 2. i missed the U20 world cup because I was promised to be in portugal by mid season. The coach thought i would be there too, but coming on to the world cup he worried about my fitness. 3. i have scored more than what the canadian site says. here r some things they r missing. goals against turkey, and shalke http://www.canadasoccer.com/eng/media/viewArtical.asp?Press_ID=229 Me playing pro in belgium for Royal Antwerp(man U farm Team) http://www.ploegvantstad.be/ar_hot_0102.htm me playing for stuutgart (under 18-19) So if u think i wanted to be in hamilton for two years. u must be kidding . i love the fans but my life is my life. and they have 1 milion dollars on my head for no reason. hoping to make a buck. i wont be there this year, so dont look for me . Gian-Luca
Hi Dave, Sorry to hear about this. Where will you go from here (as far as you can tell, that is)?
Ian Kennett
Sounds Brutal, Dave! Since the owner is not paying you,is there not a way to gain your release on the grounds of breech of contract? Or, can you not appeal to the OSA or to the CSA? Good luck in your future.
Guest Dave
There is probably some legal recourse, especially if you aren't being paid. I know lawyers can be expensive, but maybe you need to talk to one.
An Observer
Being a lawyer, I suggest you consult one as if you are not paid for a sufficient length of time they are definitely in breach of contract and assuming they have not remedied by payinbg you, I would imagine that would give you recourse to unilaterly terminate your contract which would require them to release you (assuming that is required). daveanthonysimpson
I tried speaking to the every man of women of power in the CPSL, seems they really can't do much. Everyone agreed that i should be released, but the President ( who works for free) just said "No!. so maybe someone got to him. but trust me just as im saying it, thats what is happening. just as absurd as it sounds. this is the most frustrating thing that has ever happened in my soccer career,I can't even train with the toronto Lynx and I can't belive it's happening in my country. If anyone knows where i cant get the story out. hamilton or anywhere just pass me the link. thanks
bungey
Talk to a lawyer specifically about terminating your contract, Dave. Let the lawyer do the talking/thinking for you. It sounds like your too immersed in the whole deal to see your options clearly, that's what lawyers are for. I know, I've been there in an job situation, and just got screwed and very bitter instead of getting good advice. Yeah, they cost money, but often will do the first meeting free, that's the place to start. Someone specializing in sports or even an employment specialist will give you better advice than the CSA. An Observer
Agreed Bungey. Talk to an employment/sports lawyer.
