Grizzly
Hutchinson played 90 today and received a yellow card in Helsingborg's 1-1 away tie to last place Elfsborg (first point of the year for Elfsborg). Helsingborg has started the season very poorly and are in 11th place of 14 teams and don't look likely to qualify for European play.
Dandal
Apart from earning a yellow (his second, another one and he'll be suspended for a game), Atiba assisted in Helsingborg's equalizer. Disappointing performance from both sides, but of course more so for Helsingborg with their top 4 ambitions. EDIT Extremely short clip from the game at http://svt.se/content/1/c6/20/70/20/040503_elfsborg_hi.ram - you'll see both goals though. Helsingborg in red/blue. Kenny Stamatopoulos made a deciding performance for Enköpings SK in their 0-0 draw on the road at Norrköping and had some high quality saves. It's now 264 minutes since he last conceded a goal. After three games Landskrona BoIS youth team has only victories and an impressing 14-3 score, three goals by Sita-Taty Matondo. Landskrona's 1st team might be less desperate for additions now, after they defeated last years champions Djurgården 2-0 at home this weekend. Still remains to see what Matondo's "six month try-out" might turn into.
Loud Mouth Soup
I'll put on my flame retardant kit and forward this suggestion again after Kenny's streak. Do we still really think Lars is No 1? Pat plays week-in and week-out still for San Jose and now Kenny has become one of the more important parts of Enkopping's squad and has been doing quite well. Heck, Sutton plays more than Lars now. Lars is persona non grata with Spurs now. Can't be helping him at all. It's nothing personal, but I can not justify Lars being our No1 right now. Maybe Frank can and I'll support his decisions, but I really can't see how it's possible.
Winnipeg Fury
Agree completely, but I believe Onstad is #1. Lars was playing earlier because Onstad was unavailable. That said, I agree completely and think 'Super Kenny' (as ESK fans call him), should now be looked at for the #2 spot on our depth chart.
Winnipeg Fury
Norwegain Cup action, first round: Vardal 0- 5 Sogndal (no Reda) Assiden 1 - 6 Odd Grenland (no Otto) Borre 1 - 9 Moss (no Friend, but Bernier plays full match) Solid 0 - 3 Haugesund
Luis_Rancagua
Dandal, is ESK serious of extending Super Kenny's contract.
Guest Ed
Until Lars loses a game we should win, I cannot accept anybody else as number 1. Kenny is unproven at the international level and until I see him play, I can't rank him highert than Lars. I am just not totally confident with Pat Onstad. I know I sound like a broken record but you don't f* around with your number 1 keeper decision. The coaches must be seeing something in practice, or why are they never starting anyone other than Lars. Oh and Loud Mouth Soup, where's the evidence of this persona non grata news on Lars??? He's the backup to a pretty solid keeper. News to me that he is in the doghouse. He's done very well aside from his injuries with his short loan spells and does well in the reserve matches. Winnipeg Fury
Is Lars our #1 ? Lars played recently because Onstad was unavailable for one reason or another. I think Onstad is #1, Lars #2, Kenny #3.
Guest Ed
Just posting my opinion WF. Now we of course are way off topic but what the hey. I've only seen Lars and Pat Onstad live so I'm going with Lars. Well actually I've seen Franks and Sutton too. Still going with Lars.
Guest Jeffery S.
No problem with Lars, he must be growing a lot at Spurs, but in all honesty I can't remember the last time he came up with a big performance for Canada. I mean stopping a few hard ones and keeping us in a game. This is worrying. Especially since the sporadic nature of qualifying means it is hard to get on a roll just with national team action. As for Kenny, it seems he is very competent, and if his team had more scoring punch and defensive rigour maybe he'd be shining even more, maybe still in top flight. But they are still 2nd tier Sweden, the top flight league there is one of the worst rated in Europe (though I think that is because there is no one dominant squad to go a long way in UEFA or Champions and improve their ratings, more like half a dozen average ones), so I can't say he is the man to hold us in there in WC qualifying. Onstad is at least playing and MLS is a good testing ground. But still, this is one of the areas where I would like to see our depth pan out in first team action in decent leagues. Too many young talents out there just waiting to see some time, which hurts Canada's future. Fernandes youth or reserve in Paok, Rayner in Wales which is a beer league, Djekanovic in 3rd level Serbia, and Karim looking to play another year in NCAA, plus more like Lindsley and Andrew Oliveiri (sp?), makes me think this is an area we need a break in soon to have some more chances ensuring competition for the keeper spots in Semis, the HEX and beyond. Cheeta
Oooooooohhhhh. This almost would qualify for a Voyageur trademark poll. Lars #1. Pat too old. Solid within his aging limitations, no dought. But way, way, more suseptable to injury. And he's going to be how old by 2006? And besides, I'm more confident than most with our early round chances no matter which of those two are in net. So that being said, as many games as Lars can get in at a national level the better as far as I'm concearned. For himself and the MNT. May even just open some eyes back at White Hart Lane and get that fossel Keller put out to some pasture or other where he belongs.

Gordon
Lars is my number 1 right now. I don't have a lot of confidence in Onstad. I think he is fundamentally sound, perhaps more so than Lars at this point in the latter's career, but I don't think he is going to make the big save that Canada is probably going to need to take points on the road. Lars can, IMO. And I think the time at Tottenham can only have helped him with his overall game. As for Stamtopolous, perhaps he needs to be given a look. I have no problem with that. But I am not sure when and where as Canada has only a few friendlies scheduled.
Dandal
On Kenny's swedish future: I can't imagine Enköping not renewing his contract (it runs until early July if I remember right) if they can find the money. Their finances aren't exactly solid and I think they got a warning from the swedish FA after the review earlier this year. But he's a good keeper and should be able to find alternatives, Sweden or elsewhere.
Dandal
Atiba Hutchinson played the first half of the match and scored once (as did 6 other Helsingborg players) when Helsingborg defeated lower division team Eslövs BK 8-1 in the second round of the swedish cup. Blue and White Army
No mention of Elliott Godfrey in Yeovil Town Reserves' May 5th draw. I wonder if he's still with the club in any capacity...
