shaku_bert
Jim Brennan joins Lars H and Radz in the prem next year as Norwich have been promoted following Sunderland's loss at Crystal Palace. I wonder why Jim's not been playing much. Is he hurt?
Luis_Rancagua
You are also forgetting the strong possibility that Ian Hume may probably become the 4th Canadian in the Premiership next year. That's if the deal with Bolton Wanderer is true or not or whether it's fiction or reality.
David C.
Jim has apparently been in the manager's doghouse. I'm worried that he might not follow Norwich in the Premiership next season. Hope not - cross your fingers...
shaku_bert
this is what a Norwich supporter said of Brennan on a fan site: "Brennan is a quality player he just doesn't seem to fit into our system, he'll never displace Drury at left back and he just doesn't cut it as a left winger. Huckerby has been playing in the token left wing role that has left no space in the team for Brennan!" I thought he would do OK in midfield. Peschfan
Iain Hume could be there but also JAson De Vos
sstackho
Of all the teams battling for a playoff spot, Wigan (currently fifth) have the hardest final run of matches to end out the season. Cheeta
I love this time of year. Wigan'll get in. I'd bet a lager or two on it. Palace may as well. Think they've got as good a chance as anybody. Would like to say The Blades have a hope, but I'll be surprised if they can manage it. Since Warnock pushed Pesch. out I'll regret little their lack of success this year. Whichever way the playoff crowd turns out I'm expecting a return to the top flight for Sunderland. Still, you can never tell what'll happen over the next month. Peschfan
Well Im not to big on Sheffield United. They really could have used Pesch cuz he was the only one that ever scored for them. With injuries to the strikers at united and, the lack of goals and form, Pesch would have been handy to have to shake things up. Interesting Fact: When Pesch left United they were in 4th Place, Now they are in 9th When Pesch went to Derby they were in 22nd place, now they are in 19th. Coinicidence? perhaps, but his form at Derby has proven to be better than any United striker and certainly could have been useful for Warnock. Anyways, As for Promotion Millwall looked hot unitl the FA Cup but have suffered a bit of a hangover. Sunderland were in good form too until they got hammered at Palace. Palace seem to be the inform team right now and Ipswich look strong too. West Ham are just inconsistant, wigan just goes along getiing results unnoticed. They have a tough run in but they just might sneak past everyone. Sheffield are at a lack of confidence, goals, everything. They need to win there last 3 matches to have any chance. Same goes for Reading too but I think their inferior goal difference will keep them out. MY prediction: Seeing there arch rivals Norwich go up, i think Ipswich will have that little extra drive not to be shown up and surprise everone in the playoffs. I think if they didnt get off to such a slow start last season, they might have gone up. They were charging down the playoff places but just ran out of games. They seem to peak at this time of year and just might get it.
An Observer
Wigan may have a tough road in but at least their destiny is in their hands. If they beat Sunderland and West Ham at home, they are probably in no matter what their result is with Notts Forrest.
