Daniel
Toronto is the only team to cross the country twice, making two Western swings. These are the last home games against each team. Daniel
Some stats: - The Cup opens on the 29th of May as the 401 Derby gets underway in Toronto. - It closes on the 29th of August with the final Battle of Alberta of 2004 (barring playoffs), at Commonwealth Stadium. - By the time Montréal will have played 4 games, the others will have played only 1 or 2. - Vancouver will be the first team to finish their calendar on August 7th. - By that date, all teams except Edmonton will have played 7-8 games. The Aviators will have 3 remaining games. - The calendar can be divided into 3 big portions: 1. 29/5-4/7 is the opening section (teams will have played 3-5 games) 2. 14/7-26/7 is the middle section (teams will have played 5-7 games) 3. 6/8-29/8 is the home stretch (teams will have played 8 games each)
Cooks
There must be a typo. Calgary is not playing Vancouver on July 20th (though it would have made for one wild road trip).
SeanKeay
Anyone got word on the Can-Am cup dates yet?
Daniel
That should have been July 30th. Fixed.
Daniel
I'm pretty sure the CanAm Cup as we know it is dead (or they would have announced the final TBD again. No one cared about it. Neither the fans nor the teams. Oh, and the midway point of the VCup is on the 18th of July, when 3 teams will have played 4 and 2 teams, 5 games. Daniel
Apparently, the CanAm Cup might still be on. However, with only 3 games in the former North East, the VCup and the CACup will overlap. i suggest officialising the schedule as soon as possible and contacting the club to tell them the schedule. I'd translate the press release. It is important that the VCup not play second fiddle to the rag-tag CACup. Of course, getting a sponsor to pony up some prize money would probably the best way of creating legitimate interest for the teams.
