jaydog2006
If anybody has the time you should check out the wizards web site.It looks like the plan on returning to the cpsl.It goes on to say changes need to be made i don't think anyone would not agree with that. But they posted the emails that they sent the league is that crossing a line. And should they return they thought they were jerked around last year if they do come back they could really be jerked around. L.T.
The Wizards are made for the CPSL. I watched the Sports Journal item on Omur on Newsworld last night...what a puff piece! - No mention of the fact that Ottawa was kicked out/dropped out of both league tournaments. - Omur is the stereotypical CPSL owner, only with more money. He's built a first class facility and brought in skilled players to put together a class team. But 6 coaches in 3 years is a HUGE red flag. They showed him screaming from the sidelines (over the coaches instructions) and basically running practices! He called himself a micro manager and was proud of it!!! His arguement was that winning will make people see that his methods work. That's a laugh, spending $1 million on a CPSL team is why you're winning, it's not because a rich software guy decides he's qualified to coach a 'professional' soccer team. Luis_Rancagua
This is a fine indication that the Wizards were not accepted into the A-League for this coming 2004 season. This is too bad. I really hope that Hamilton gets in.

jaydog2006
It does not look like hamilton got in as well. From waht i have heard the a-league does not think ottawa and hamilton or not suited for the a-league at this time.
jaydog2006
Yes and no ottawa has torn aprt the cpsl and needs a new challenge. The thing that most likly held ottawa back was the owner if it was not for his acts this year.We would be talking a-league right now.As with hamilton they still need alot of work to do and the same thing that held ottawa back is holding hamilton back and that is tere owner. The usl has had trouble with owners in the past few years and they are trying to clean that up. Mimglow
I think it's sad how things turned out for the Wizards. I felt that going for the A-League so soon was a little too ambitious. Now it appears they have burned their bridges. Although I supported the Wizard's position, I can't see myself going to see them beat every team 8-0 again this year (considering the 45 minute drive). jaydog2006
What i don't undertsand is why they would not go for the pro league or even the pdl.
L.T.
USL Pro League - not many teams, lots of travel PDL - Can't pay your players
jaydog2006
But is it not better then the cpsl.
L.T.
Why? Because they're American? I wouldn't doubt that they are probably better managed than the CPSL, but the competition in the PDL is likely lower quality. The Pro league may or may not be better, but not worth the added costs. Alex M
Someone should challenge the Wizards' owner to put his money where his mouth is and create a new, "uncorruptable" league from scratch. This way maybe we can get the best of both worlds. Alex
THE_TRUTH
Start a league. Well the Wizards are just as corrupt as anything. I still haven't been paid my salary from September and I was fired from the team for asking if we were gonna stop for dinner. From talkin with several other guys they havent been paid for october either. I also know for a fact that the wizards still owe the former coach Hubert Busby some money. Don't think that it stops there. In the past we have been fined for losing games. He fired me then later that week apologized to everyone, but me, concerning his actions on that road trip. He publically admitted he was wrong, yet still won't honor his word of releasing me and paying me my salary for services rendered in september. Since he likes to play in the media we can probably expect a statement regarding my this post. He had also sent me an email accusing me of theft, damage of property, tresspassing, threatening, blackmailing and threatened to sue me for defamation of character and loss of revenue. All of which are false claims with no evidence of any wrongdoing on my part. In fact he had given me a dealine to apologize to him or he would lay charges. Well no apology was forthcoming and no charges were laid. In fact he was pretty sly not to send that email to anyone else but me especially with all those false accusations. Any current or former wizards will vouch for me knowing that what I say here today is 100% truefacts and I have the documents to prove it. Hopefully I shed some light on your perceptions of the wizards organization. It is not ready to enter a better league just yet. Imajine we had no less than 10 international players with over 100 international caps at both the U23 and senior level played at some point for the wizards. And I'm almost certain none will return next year, if there is a team. THE TRUTH HAS SPOKEN

jaydog2006
The Truth Give you self a hard pat on the back.Any case you may have had vs the wizards you just blew it.As you say you do have a case and you posted what the have done to you and if anyone from the wizards or any part connected with the wizards. If they do see what you did post your case would be dumped. On top of that you could be sued for slander. This did happen in the states a few players from pro indoor football had not got paid for the season. They were told they would get paid at the end they never did.So they took them to court but i couple of them posted what happened on a messege board and it was found out and not only was there case smashed but they aslo got sued for slander. THE_TRUTH
I don't know what case you are talking about, the league is reviewing the matter and they will pass judgement on it. In any case my post was not made to slander but to inform. You guys wanted to know about the wizards chances of going to the a-league and thier stability, so as an ex player I informed you on how things are run in ottawa, using no false statements. THE_TRUTH
well i won't go into exact details but different guys ahd different contracts. Some were paid by the game, some by the week and some monthly. the range is roughly between $500-$2000/month, depending on bonuses and fines. some of the guys, especially the senior ones made over $1200/month. hamiltonfan
did they make that just for the summer or the whole year? if they did make 1 200 per mounth for the whole year they would get $14 400, the ones making $2000 a mounth would get $24 000. thanks

THE_TRUTH
Well I'm not concerned with all this pettiness. All I've stated from the beginning is for this situation to be handled quickly and quietly. The wizards refused to give me an answer as to what they planned to do. It is out of my hands now. The CPSL passed a judgement on the matter on sunday, but I have yet to hear the news. THE TRUTH HAS SPOKEN
