snake Posted November 1, 2003 Share Posted November 1, 2003 its seems that people have forgotten just how good the 86ers were.unbeaten for almost 2 years,four straight csl titles.almost totally stocked exclusivley with the best players from b.c. you look back at players like catliff,mobilio,evans could all have been decent players in england(catliff would have been a star had his fitness been up to speed)a lot of the other teams had most of the u.s. talent at the time.ted eck comes to mind.what im trying to say is that the canadian soccer league was as good talent wise as mls is right now. [?] :)Rose coloured eye glasses? '86ers did have some very good sides. Played some nice football to. Can think of a few clubs who didn't win 10 games (or it seemed like close to) over two seasons.
