snake
all in all i thought bircham looked like a good fit out there against the finns.brings a bit of urgency in his play when the pressures on.bircham will definetly be a big part of 06 qualifying. sstackho
I thought he looked so massively different from the rest of the team. Not just because of his hair, but at the way he laid sprawled on the ground after he was fouled, and he seems to have a bit of a temper. Maybe he's just too flamboyant to be a Canadian! George
Bircham added a lot to the team. He was a pain in the ass for the opposition to play against. He had tremendous stamina. He took good corners as well. (If I remember the Gold Cup correctly Canada had problems in the corner taking department.) This being said, I think he should have to battle with Fernando A. for a the starting role.
SeanKeay
Birch is a solid player and plays with alot of heart and thats what i like to see in a player. Those kind of guys are missed, we used to have a few of them like Devos, Kusch and Watson.. all guys who were nut jobs on the pitch. WE NEED MORE NUT JOBS BRING BACK KUSCH!! BearcatSA
Maybe not Kusch, but how about a similar type of target man striker? Wyn Belotte looked like a potential candidate: how's he doing in Poland? Nice change up from the diminutive forwards (no slur against the effectiveness of DeRosario, Radzinski, Hume and Pesch) as the tactics of the game require. Desigol
I'm glad Bircham's back with the Senior squad. His side's doing well in Div 2, and Canada needs all the decent players it can get.
