Guest Jeffery S.
Just to note that Mark Watson and our beloved Rick Titus played 90 for Charleston, who held off the Rhinos surge after getting ahead middway through. Both deserve credit for a fine season. BTW seems Titus is playing midfield for the Battery this year.
DJT
A-League Final (Saturday, September 20) Charleston 3 Minnesota 0 Watson and Titus played 90 for Charleston. Attendance 5,711, apparently "a record oversold-out crowd". Match report: http://www.charlestonbattery.com/matches_report.asp?mid=95.
Andrew W
Watched the game last night on FSWC and the quality of the game was credit to the A League. Sure Minny had some breakdowns, but the game wasn't too bad and the atmosphere showed what a small stadium could mean to this league. Good stuff. Crazy_Yank
I thought the game was very well played. The way the Battery played in the 1st half they could have beaten any team in MLS or the MFL. They have a lot of MLS quality players in their squad. I can see why one might pass an MLS offer for Charleston. Their stadiums rules. This is why they can afford all those players.
