Duane Rollins1555362254
Snake... I'm positive Vancouver will get its share of games. The first round starts in Feb...so... Although, I for one am advocating for playing all Caribbean opponents in February, in Yellowknife....
bettermirror
i say we play mexico in sudbury in january. seriously. if mexico are gonna make everyone play at azteca (bolivia do the same) at 2 p.m. on the smoggiest day of the year. canada should be making mexico play on the coldest day of the year in ... YELLOWKNIFE (GREAT SUGGESTION!!!). we should be playing the caribbean countries in hamilton and edmonton and those places so they freeze their toes off. anything to get to the world cup. that said, we gotta get to the final group phase first! ray
Don't forget Ottawa. We've got FieldTurf so there can be no opponent complaints about a frozen pitch. We might as well use our climate (and artificial surfaces) to our advantage. Other countries do the same. Its just a question of whether fans would turn out to watch a match in frigid conditions. Hmmm. Maybe the Edmonton suggestion is a good one after all. They might be up for a mid-winter WCQ clash. Sadly, by the time we do start playing our stronger CONCACAF opponents it will be summer. beachesl
How can our FieldTurf (if it's alllowed, the FIFA WCQ Competition Regs haven't been announced yet) be an advantage if our team hasn't played on it and is unlikely to play on it prior to the WCQ's starting in February? Is the Finland friendly on artificial turf?
