hamiltonfan Posted August 13, 2003 Share Posted August 13, 2003 www.hamiltonthunder.com MORE MOVEMENT FOR THE HAMILTON THUNDER … The Hamilton Thunder meets 2nd place St. Catharines Wolves this week on home turf in game 10 of the CPSL Western Conference. The Hamilton Thunder is just one point behind St. Catharine Wolves with a game in hand and a 4-2-3 record. With so much on the line, it has not been quiet on the Hamilton Thunder’s practice field. With the prospect of an A-League Team for next season, players from several teams have be asking to take a crack at a spot on the Thunders roster and this has resulted in some player movement. Head Coach, Prof. Neca has had the opportunity to work with the team all week and feels he knows the team better stating: “the group has been working very well and they are now giving 100%. With the addition of the new players, the next game to be very good for us.” Player Movement Thunder’s Defenseman, Lovemore Ncube has been traded to Brampton Hitman Hamilton Thunder has just acquired Striker Peter Curic, Midfielder Josip Bucic from Toronto Croatia, and attacking midfielder David Guzman from the National Select Team U18. St. Catharine Wolves has acquired former Thunder Goalie Dino Perri from Mississauga Olympians. Curic, Bucic and Guzman will make their first start for the Hamilton Thunder on Thursday and are expected to significantly strengthen the Thunders offence. At over 6 feet, Curic has the size and the skill to be an intimidating adversary. Bucic is physically strong and has proven to be a versatile performer. Guzman, a left-footer is an intelligent and talented playmaker. Forward, Jason Crnic is currently out with injures The new players are realy good.
