shaku_bert
I often see people using Tomasz and Dwayne as our starting strikers in our "first choice team". But do think they would complement each other (I'm not saying they wouldn't -> to be honest I haven't seen a lot of DD to know what type of player he is). Part of me says you would want a big man to play off Radz so that Radz's speed could create chances for the strike partner to finish. Is DD that kind of player? Peschfan
I Think our best partnership would be Radz and Pesch. These two would be lethal. I dont think DD is that good. and experience and skill in pesch and Radz would be a great partnership.

I would prefer Radz and DD and having Pesh coming as the supersub, I just hope I can see that in the near future.
matthew
With DeRosario and Radzinski you have two guys who can play with the ball at their feet and take on defenders. Add in midfielders like DeGuzman, Stalteri, Brennan and Imhof and you have an attack that revolves around quickness and vision. When's the last time we had a d-mid like Imhof that can get forward and create stuff. Having those two up top really changes the dimension of the team, but I think it's a good thing. We don't have many really great crossers (Nash and to a lesser extent Brennan) and anything that discourages us from playing the long ball out of the back can't be a bad thing. I liked the way we played in Scotland with those two up top. DeRosario tracked back well and combined with Stalteri pretty well. Radzinski made some nice runs that really weren't rewarded. He actually had a pretty quiet game, but showed some sparks and movement. We only scored once, but Imhof misfired on an easy chance to set up DeRo and DeGuzman got his shot handled off the line. We also completely dominated for a few stretches. Give these guys a little time to bond and I think we could have a dynamic attack. And I love Pesch, but not in the same class as Radz and I think DeRo has more skill right now. I'd still pick him first off the bench and would start him with DeRo if Radz returns to 1997 form. cheers, matthew Born in Canada. Live in Canada. Die in Canada. George
I agree with 99% of you post... However, Rad and DeRo need more than a little time to bond. They need to play together a lot!! "A pretty move, for the love of God." Eduardo Galeano

Canuck Oranje
First, I am inclined to want to have a traditional target man. If Hearts consistently uses McKenna as a forward, he can be used there. If he is used as a defender then we need to consider him as a defender. But he should likely be behind DeVos in that case. Second, if DeRosario can reach peak fitness and return to top form, he is definitely one of our top forwards. I like Pesch off the bench better than starting... Both Radz and DeRo are fast enough to be effective target men, IMO, if you need that. Instead of aiming where they are a la a tall Mckenna, you aim into space and let their speed get there first. Pesch is definitely sub material now. Its his role with Sheffield and he is damn effective at it. Bring him on for the last 25 minutes or so and let him play against some tired defenders. Especially id Radzinski and DeRosario have been tormenting them all game. The opinions expressed above are just that.
