He has probably amassed a fortune by now. It is his own country and don't think they are paying him much. Watch for Serbia now becoming a world soccer power with Bora behind them. The man is amazing.

Serbia is actually doing terribly lately, I think they have lost something like 6 of the last 7. They are going to need a few years to get back to their old ways, probably meaning finding money to improve squads and hold onto the better national players.

Serbia league has reduced the teams from 20 to 16 for next year, so that should raise the level a bit as well. And leave top flight players with a bit more time to think about national team committments.

Bora IS amasing, The whole world needs his joy, humour and inspration,,,, especially his fellow Serbs, many of whom seem to lack this virtues the most. Good luck Bora, not just with improving the team, but hopefully a little of Serbia as a whole. There is a real effort to reform the society there by many right-minded Serbs. It would have been so easy for him, and other great Serbs, to retire somewhere else.

Yeah, their 3-0 loss at Finland and 2-1 loss at Azerbaijan over a four-day span were shocking. That pretty much put them out of contention for qualifying (which is what Dejan Savicevic said when he stepped down after these games), meanwhile virtually guaranteeing Wales a playoff spot.
